Indonesia Sehat Jiwa Luncurkan Peer Support Buddy
NEWSLIVE – INDONESIA SEHAT JIWA sebuah program dari Yayasan Mahargijono Schützenberger Indonesia (YMSI), secara resmi mengumumkan peresmian komunitas pelajar Peer Support Buddy di Kota Malang. Peluncuran ini merupakan respons langsung terhadap data yang menunjukkan tingginya angka kasus bunuh diri di kalangan remaja di kota yang dijuluki sebagai Kota Bunuh Diri ini.
Peer Support Buddy adalah sebuah inisiatif berbasis dukungan sebaya yang bertujuan untuk menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang lebih aman dan suportif. Bekerja sama dengan PMI dan beberapa instansi , Komunitas ini beranggotakan para pelajar pilihan dari berbagai sekolah di Malang yang akan dilatih secara intensif oleh psikolog, psikiater, dan relawan profesional dari Indonesia Sehat Jiwa. Mereka akan dibekali dengan kemampuan untuk mengidentifikasi tanda-tanda awal perundungan dan depresi, serta memberikan pertolongan pertama secara emosional. Saat Pelantikan hadir 170 anak menjadi peer support buddy yang akan menjadi teman sebaya yang membantu teman seusianya yang sedang berjuang.
“Angka bunuh diri di kalangan pelajar di Malang adalah alarm bagi kita semua. Melalui Peer Support Buddy, kami ingin memberdayakan para pelajar itu sendiri untuk menjadi garda terdepan dalam membantu teman-teman mereka yang mungkin sedang berjuang,” ujar Sofia Ambarini , Ketua Indonesia Sehat Jiwa.” Kami percaya bahwa teman sebaya adalah pihak yang paling dekat dan paling bisa dipercaya oleh para pelajar saat mereka menghadapi masalah.”
Fokus Utama Peer Support Buddy:
Pencegahan Bunuh Diri: Anggota komunitas dilatih untuk mengenali sinyal bahaya dan memberikan dukungan awal yang penting, serta menghubungkan teman mereka dengan profesional kesehatan mental.
Anti-Bullying: Mereka akan aktif menciptakan budaya inklusivitas, mengawasi, dan melaporkan kasus perundungan di lingkungan sekolah.
Edukasi dan Kampanye: Mengadakan sesi edukasi, seminar, dan kampanye sosial untuk meningkatkan kesadaran tentang kesehatan mental dan pentingnya mencari bantuan.
Peresmian komunitas ini di Malang menjadi langkah awal dari program Indonesia Sehat Jiwa untuk menciptakan jejaring dukungan sebaya di sekolah-sekolah di seluruh Indonesia. Ke depannya,ISJ berkomitmen untuk terus mengembangkan program ini dan bekerja sama dengan berbagai pihak.
Kami mengajak seluruh pihak, terutama media, untuk turut menyebarluaskan inisiatif ini guna membangun lingkungan yang lebih sehat dan aman bagi para pelajar di Malang dan di seluruh Indonesia.
