Krisis Gaza: Pengungsian ke Rafah Saat Pertempuran Israel-Hamas Memanas
NEWSLIVE– Krisis Gaza, Pasukan Israel terlibat dalam pertempuran sengit dengan Hamas di Gaza selatan pada Rabu (6/12/2023), memicu kekhawatiran keamanan bagi puluhan ribu warga sipil Palestina yang mengungsi ke Kota Rafah dekat perbatasan Mesir untuk menghindari serangan udara Israel.

Pada hari Rabu, sedikitnya sembilan orang dilaporkan tewas dalam penembakan Israel terhadap sebuah rumah di Rafah, menurut sumber medis Palestina.
Dalam periode dua bulan konflik antara Israel dan Hamas di Gaza, ratusan ribu warga Palestina telah mengungsi dari utara ke selatan, mengakibatkan eksodus terbaru dan memperparah kondisi penduduk yang mengungsi di dekat perbatasan Mesir.
Kota Rafah, meskipun dianggap aman oleh militer Israel, menjadi tempat perlindungan bagi warga yang semakin terpojok. Warga Palestina merasa tidak yakin dengan klaim keamanan tersebut. Samir Abu Ali (45), seorang ayah lima anak, menyatakan ketidakpercayaannya terhadap klaim tersebut, mengatakan bahwa tidak ada tempat yang aman di Gaza dan khawatir bahwa besok mereka akan dikejar di Rafah.
Militer Israel mengumumkan pada Rabu malam bahwa pasukannya telah beroperasi di Khan Younis, kota terbesar di Gaza selatan. Serangan tersebut disebut sebagai “serangan yang ditargetkan” di pusat kota Khan Younis, dianggap sebagai simbol kekuasaan militer dan administratif Hamas.
Pernyataan Militer Israel menyatakan bahwa operasi tersebut bertujuan untuk menghabisi teroris, menghancurkan infrastruktur teroris, dan menemukan senjata. Sementara itu, Kantor Kemanusiaan PBB melaporkan bahwa sebagian besar pengungsi di Rafah tidur seadanya karena kurangnya tenda, meskipun PBB telah mendistribusikan beberapa ratus tenda.
Meskipun sejumlah bantuan telah masuk ke Gaza dari Mesir melalui penyeberangan Rafah, lonjakan pertempuran sejak gencatan senjata berakhir pada 1 Desember menghambat distribusi bantuan. Pada Rabu malam, Israel menyatakan akan mengizinkan sedikit peningkatan dalam jumlah bahan bakar yang diizinkan masuk ke Gaza.
