Ajinomoto Pangkas Pasokan ABF ke China hingga 30 Persen
TEKNOLOGI – Ajinomoto dilaporkan memangkas pasokan Ajinomoto Build-up Film (ABF) ke pelanggan di China daratan sebesar 30 persen. Informasi tersebut pertama kali diberitakan Tom’s Hardware, yang mengutip laporan media China JW Insights berdasarkan sumber anonim dalam rantai pasok. Hingga kini, belum ada konfirmasi terbuka dari Ajinomoto mengenai pemangkasan tersebut, sehingga informasi ini masih berstatus laporan industri.
ABF merupakan material isolasi yang digunakan dalam pembuatan substrat paket semikonduktor. Ajinomoto memiliki posisi yang sangat kuat dalam pasar ABF. Perusahaan tersebut disebut menguasai lebih dari 95 persen pangsa pasar global material tersebut. Dominasi ini membuat produsen chip dan perusahaan manufaktur semikonduktor sulit mencari pengganti dalam waktu singkat.
Laporan mengenai pengurangan pasokan ke China muncul setelah Beijing sebelumnya memperketat ekspor sejumlah mineral tanah jarang yang penting bagi industri teknologi. Tom’s Hardware mencatat bahwa pembatasan ABF dapat menambah tekanan terhadap rantai pasok semikonduktor China, terutama ketika negara tersebut sedang berusaha meningkatkan kemampuan produksi chip secara mandiri.
Di sisi lain, perusahaan-perusahaan China mulai berupaya mengembangkan material alternatif. Namun, menggantikan ABF buatan Ajinomoto bukan perkara sederhana. Material tersebut harus memenuhi persyaratan ketat terkait isolasi, ketahanan panas, serta kemampuan mendukung koneksi berkecepatan tinggi di dalam paket chip. Laporan lain juga menyebut pemasok lokal China tengah berusaha memperoleh kualifikasi untuk material pengganti.
