Indonesia Blokir Akses Internet ke Kamboja dan Filipina untuk Berantas Judi Online
NEWSLIVE – Indonesia telah mengambil langkah tegas dengan memblokir akses internet ke Kamboja dan Davao (Filipina) dalam upaya memberantas judi online. Menteri Komunikasi dan Informatika (kominfo), Budi Arie, menegaskan bahwa langkah ini sangat efektif, mengurangi aktivitas judi online di Indonesia hingga 50%.
“Efektif dong, artinya tidak ada jalur komunikasi dari Kamboja ke Indonesia. Berkurang drastis, nanti angka-angkanya,” ujar Budi saat menghadiri Sosialisasi Pencegahan Aktivitas Judi Online di Lingkungan Kementerian Kominfo di Jakarta Pusat, Kamis (25/7/2024).
Menurut Budi, dampak negatif judi online sangat merugikan perekonomian negara, masyarakat, dan keluarga. “Bayangin coba, negara buruk, masyarakat buruk karena bisa menimbulkan kriminalitas. Ekonomi keluarga juga banyak terdampak. Lihat saja, akibat judi online, di daerah-daerah banyak sekali,” jelasnya.
Budi menegaskan bahwa memerangi judi online adalah bagian dari upaya menyelamatkan negara, masyarakat, dan rakyat. Pemblokiran akses ini adalah salah satu cara efektif untuk memutus jaringan komunikasi yang digunakan oleh operator judi online.
Di Filipina, Presiden Ferdinand Marcos baru-baru ini melarang Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) dalam pidato kenegaraannya pada Senin (22/7/2024). Badan Regulator Hiburan dan Permainan Filipina (PAGCOR) memastikan akan menindaklanjuti larangan tersebut, dengan mayoritas perusahaan judi luar negeri yang memegang izin operasi di Filipina berasal dari China. Marcos memerintahkan penutupan industri perjudian di Filipina mulai akhir 2024.
“Tidak ada masalah dalam penutupan POGO karena saya akan menggunakan perintah presiden dan asas keamanan nasional,” kata Ketua PAGCOR kepada Reuters.
Dirjen IKP, Usman Kansong, menyambut baik larangan judi online yang dikeluarkan Filipina. “Kami kira ini kabar baik bagi upaya pemberantasan judi online di Indonesia karena hasil deteksi kita menunjukkan bahwa judi online yang masuk ke Indonesia kebanyakan dari luar negeri, termasuk Filipina,” kata Usman kepada CNBC Indonesia.
Dengan kebijakan baru Filipina, Usman mengatakan hal ini bisa mengurangi konten atau situs judi yang masuk ke Indonesia. Keputusan ini akan berdampak pada jumlah platform judi online yang mengincar warga Indonesia. Selain itu, diharapkan juga akan mengurangi potensi tindak pidana perdagangan orang (TPPO), karena kasus judi online seringkali terkait dengan TPPO.
“Kebijakan pemerintah Filipina ini juga mengurangi potensi tindak pidana perdagangan orang. Banyak pekerja Indonesia bekerja di tempat perjudian di Filipina yang diduga terkait TPPO,” kata Usman.
Meskipun demikian, Usman memastikan bahwa satgas pemberantasan judi online akan tetap bekerja. Mereka akan terus melakukan edukasi dan literasi digital untuk memutus permintaan judi online di Indonesia. “Satgas pemberantasan judi online tetap melaksanakan kegiatan memutus demand melalui edukasi dan literasi digital,” pungkasnya.
Langkah-langkah tegas ini menunjukkan komitmen Indonesia dalam memberantas judi online yang merugikan. Dengan pemblokiran akses internet dan kerja sama internasional, diharapkan masalah ini bisa dikendalikan dan dampak negatifnya bisa diminimalkan.
